Santa on the Roof!

This post is out of order, but I can't leave it out!  Our annual Santa on the Roof at the Goodyear's house was as fun as ever!  It is such tradition filled evening of celebrating and hanging out with good friends!  Laney and Claire Bear were part of the welcoming crew in the front yard.

Bobbis and the bros held down the fort inside.

 Carols on the lawn.
Up on the Housetop...... here comes Santa!

Kevin's granddaughter Katie, who happens to be one of my precious former students all grown up and beautiful now!

We have a crying picture of Laney and Ella from their first SoTR.  We get a picture of them every year.  This one is pretty much a repeat of the first year for Laney.  She wouldn't sit there without me.  silly girl1

The brothers were much more accommodating for their Santa pic!

These brothers are loved by their Bobbis and GPK!!

Cookies for Santa!

Reindeer Food!

At Laney's party, the kids got reindeer food to put in the yard on Christmas Eve.  We had to go out early and put it out before we left for the 4 oclock service at church.  She was super excited to spread it out!  I guess the brothers were napping.  I can't remember why they weren't involved, so it must have been a nap!

Time can not be spent in the backyard without at least a few spins on the bar!

Laney's Christmas Party!

Laney's Christmas party at school was super fun.  She has a class full of sweet friends and they have such a great time together!  They decorated cookies!

Played this hilarious game of Vaseline on the nose sticking a cotton ball snowball on it for a relay!

Then they did a book exchange.  They each brought a wrapped book and then did a similar activity to what I so laughably tried to execute with the brothers and their friends.

Laney got this book at first and was excited about it, but then I noticed another girl was really disappointed with the book that she got.  It was boyish for starters but it was also very obviously used, written in and torn a bit.  I asked Laney to trade with her and told her we would pick another book out for her as soon as school got out.  She did and we ordered a book on Amazon later that day.  $3.99 well spent and she was so cute checking the mail everyday for her package!

Some Gift Giving!

I like to give gifts to all of Laney's extra teachers like Library, Music, PE, Art and the Office Staff, nurse....etc.  And while I like to do that, I don't have a big budget to work with!  So, they got these homemade re-usable snack baggies filled with a white chocolate snack mix.
"This Christmas, to say thanks a bunch, here are some re-usable snack baggies to help pack your lunch!"
I made this utility apron for Laney's teacher.  We filled it up with office supplies in each of the 8 pockets!  This, I wanted to keep!
