TWO MEN AND A LITTLE LANEY

Two Men and a Little Laney

Grant had his very first T-Ball game yesterday, which was one of the cutest things that I have ever been witness to. He was awesome. He tried to field every single ball, whether it was coming to him in left field or headed clear over to the right. He was a boy with a mission!! Laney loved sitting in the stands cheering for her cousin!!

Go Grant, go!

Having fun with Daddy after the game.

On a completely different note, here is a picture of Laney getting shown the ropes to X-Box play. We get to have two sweet boys join us at our house on Thursdays. I am watching them/teaching them. That's right, they are home schooled, but their mom works on Thursdays, so I get to be their teacher. I get to have "kids" this year after all!!!! They are two of the sweetest boys EVER and we are already having so much fun with them. Laney definitely loves to watch them play!!!

I am so excited about Laney's new favorite toy; her stroller! She had another one, that was too big for her and the wheels swiveled like crazy, making sure that she was always running in to the wall and getting frustrated. I put this new one together on Thursday and she has barely stopped pushing it since.

Something very funny about the couch this afternoon!

Getting a few stroller pushes in before church this morning!!

This is the cutest dress ever. We got it from our friends Holly and Emma when we first brought Laney home. I have tried it on her a million times since then, waiting for it to fit! YAY!!!! Could she be any cuter???

Last week we got to go to dinner with our friends and we had so much fun. We should really do that more often. The babies came and had lots of fun, so there is really no excuse for not getting together more often!!!

This is a completely unsolicited picture of Laney and Ella running (seriously running) towards each other as soon as they saw one another. We didn't tell them to hug or kiss, they did all on their own. It was the cutest thing ever!!!!

This is a picture from a couple of weeks ago. I just think that she looks so cute with her little bucket hat on!

We went with the cousins to the Ft. Worth Museum and Laney had such a blast. This was her favorite part.....a little car with a mailbox at the door. She loved dropping the letters in for Claire.

I love the shifty eyes!

There was a little grocery store at the museum. Pushing things around is Laney's all time favorite thing to do, so giving her a Laney sized grocery cart was like heaven for her!

More fun in the grocery store when we brought Ella and Janelle to our new favorite play place!

Laney sitting shotgun with cute Ella at the wheel!

Laney loves to rattle things, so jingle bells velcroed around her wrists just might rival the grocery cart!

A couple of weeks ago, we got to go with Jess and Jack and the cutie pies to the Ranger game. We got to sit in a suite, thanks to some very generous friends!! It was definitely the way to go. I think that Laney would have lasted about ten seconds in regular seats. This way she got to wander around, go in and out of the suite, climb around, and most importantly, play with Claire in the bathroom!

Laney loves to hitch anything with a strap or a handle up on her arm and carry it around as a purse. It is so cute to watch her, with such determination, carry things around that are way too awkward for the purse game. These rings were serving more as bracelets, but she was entertained nonetheless.

Laney looked so beautiful for church last week! This was Claire's dress. We LOVE hand-me-downs!!!! We can't wait to hand it back and see Tessa in it someday soon!!

29!!

Well, I turned 29 on Friday, which pretty much means that this was the last year that I am supposed to look forward to my birthday. But I gotta tell you, I don't think that is going to happen. I have been conditioned from a very young age to expect some serious greatness for my birthday. I am a little bit like a little kid when it comes to August 31, and I don't anticipate that changing much just cause I will be turning you know what in 363 days....who's counting though?
I have had a blast with my family this weekend. Todd and I went on a date on Friday, which is the first time in a long time! It was so fun to hang out with him. We went to dinner and a movie in Sundance Square. So fun! He even let me ask a stranger to take our picture, which is something he really really hates!!

We went out on the lake with Mom, Cait, Kevin and the Goodyear family yesterday. We had so much fun with everyone. I haven't been water skiing since high school (courtesy of the Cartusciello's) but Mom and Kev got some new skis for us, so I decided to give it a whirl. It was a blast, but I can definitely tell that I am almost you know how old, cause I am pretty sore today as a result!
I hope that Jessica is as sore as I am!!!

We took turns going out on the boat, so that Laney could stay at the park and play. She doesn't love the boat YET!

The girls were supposed to be feeding this cereal to the ducks.

But, Laney was pretty intent on keeping it all for herself.

We went to my mom and Kevin's for a very yummy dinner.
Look!!! My family all went in together and got me a lap top, which I happen to be using at this very moment!!! It is so fabulous!!!

We just got back from a seriously delicious meal at P.F. Chang's with Todd's dad, Renee, Jenna, Colt (Jen's boyfriend) and Hailey. They are so wonderful to come all the way here to celebrate my birthday. I love them!!! When it was time to say goodbye, we were all in the parking lot and Laney was playing in the bed of Pops' truck. She started dolling out kisses, and once she got started she didn't want to stop. It was one of the all time cutest things ever!
One for Aunt Jen.....

One for Nae Nae....

One for Aunt Hailey.....

One for Pops.....

And of course, one for Daddy!!
