Todd and Tessa chilling out and listening to his iPod together.
We spent about an hour on this morning waiting for it to stop raining. Finally we decided that we should head into Galveston and find something fun to do while we waited out the weather. We had no plan, which in hindsight does seem a little foolish. We ended up just driving out with the idea that something amazing would present itself to us.Laney and Tess all dressed and ready to go!
Despite the fact that the second we loaded up in the car to go the sun came out and brought the most beautiful weather, we didn't want to abandon our well thought out plan of driving aimlessly into Galveston. BUT, our spirits were high. We laughed a lot and had fun on our journey in the car.
Eventually we just turned our cars around and headed home for lunch. It was a pretty ridiculous morning, but oh well, we got to get ready for another fun afternoon at the beach!
We brought Laney's blow up pool down so that she wouldn't have to work so hard digging holes to make baby water. I blew it up in the house and we drug it down to the beach. My mom walked back and forth from the water with her bucket filling up the whole pool. What a great Bobbis!!!!Laney immediately put her chair in the water and just sat there acting like a little princess while
Bobbis filled it up!
Bobbis filled it up!
Claire started scooping up the water and pouring it on her head, so.....
Laney started scooping up the water and pouring it on her head too.
Here is a silly picture of me and Todd and the twinadoes! Janalee has been calling them that from the get go, but I now they are seriously living up to their name. They are bouncing and kicking around in there like crazy!
I have to put this picture in because of the smudge on my lens. Sadly, the smudge appears in almost all of my pictures, but none as humorously as this one. It is right on top of Todd's foot making it look like it is disappearing. It reminds me of Marty McFly watching his brother and sister fade away in his picture while he tries to get the young version of his mom to stop trying to make out with him.
Not sure if Laney was dumping water in or out of the pool at this point. Probably out...she gave my mom a run for her money. Bobbis couldn't keep the water coming fast enough. Laney and Claire liked making "waterfalls" by holding the side of the pool down and letting all the water rush out!
The girls tried to fit as many toys in the baby pool as they could find. There was barely any room left for them and they had to watch out for all those meat eating dinos.
Looks like Laney found a toy that hadn't made it in yet. She had to get it there quickly!
The canopy aspect of our baby pool didn't really come in handy because we couldn't attach it without it blowing away. But Laney found something useful for the ring that the canopy usually rests on.
It made a great halo for her!
We went on a walk down to the bridge with the girls looking for shells. I didn't bring my camera for that, and I wish that I had. Todd walked ahead of us with my mom and when he turned back and started toward us, Laney ran full speed towards him, calling, "Daddy, my daddy!" It was awesome. On their way back to our beach spot, they started to play in this little tide pool.
Laney was a fan because of the lack of waves in this stagnant, probably nasty water.
