Christmas evening.....

We left Grommy's house right after the boys ate at 4:30 so that we would have a full three hour window to make it to Nocona before they got hungry again. I say that because I laugh to think of how we are so seemingly ruled by these sweet little lives that we are so blessed to have.

We made it to Nocona, driving most of the way there with three cute sleepy heads in the backseat, just in time for Miles and Sam to eat again.

Pops and Nae Nae had these adorable bouncy seats all ready and waiting for our little smidgies. Don't they look so comfy!!!

A closer look at Senor Sam reclining in his new seat!

3/5ths of my little family snuggled up in Pops's chair!

The boys wore their firetruck outfits since they were getting to hangout with Pops, their very own fire chief!!! I am pretty sure that both of the Lewis's in this picture are napping!

A closer look at the littler Lewis dreaming sweet dreams, I am sure!
One of Sam's many naps in Aunt Jenn's welcoming arms.

It is a tradition each year that Renee makes her world famous sugared pecans. Last year Laney jumped in to help and this year she couldn't resist helping again. She found this little oven mitt that was pink so obviously made just for her.

After putting the finishing touches on the most delicous pecans on the planet, Laney and Nae Nae moved on to creating a cute veggie Christmas tree.
Todd's cousins came in town to visit us and meet the boys the on Friday afternoon. Rylan was super sweet playing chase with Laney around the house. Laney loves to play chase, but she really really prefers to be the chaser rather than the chasee!

We woke up Saturday morning and Laney got to celebrate her fourth Christmas!!!

Laney got a running start to thank Aunt Jenn for all the cute clothes, movies, and treats!!

Nae Nae camped out by the boys during our gift exchange (and really our entire weekend) I can not say enough times what a blessing our families are to us and our children.

Nae Nae got a big thank you hug!

Laney took periodic breaks from all of her opening to check on her brothas!Jenna gave me a new study bible and I am so excited about having it. Laney was excited too!
Laney and Todd had a wrestling match under the Christmas tree after we all searched for the hidden pickle.

I wanted pictures of Nae Nae with both boys. I have lots of sweet ones with her and Sam
and her and Miles, but I wanted one with both our little bits.
A picture of the boys and their Pops. They are going to have so much fun together!

Christmas Afternoon!!!

After we loaded everything up from our house and finished our birthday cake, we made it over to Lezlie's house to celebrate with her and Hailey. Grommy told Laney that Santa made sure that she was going to come to her Grommy's house on Christmas morning because he was going to leave something special there for her. Under Grommy's tree was the American Girl Bitty Baby changing table!!!! Laney is serious about changing her babies' diapers. I find little diapers of the boys rolled up with wipes (unused) stacked up in the trash can. I wouldn't mind that so much if we weren't blazing through diapers at break neck speed. They're a little too pricey to toss out because of imaginary poopy! Needless to say, Laney LOVED this gift and spent a considerable amount of time changing Baby Mama's diaper again and again!

Laney has the cutest stocking at Lezlie's house. She and Aunt Hailey joined forces to make it two years ago. They split up this year and each made one, so now Sam and Miles have custom made stockings too!!! I think that Laney emptied all five of our family's stockings!

The slinky was the big hit out of Laney's stocking at Grommy's house.

Laney paused from running all over dumping out stockings to give Grommy a well deserved smile!!
The boys opened their first gift from Hailey. This super cute hat. Sam got to try it on first.

A turn for Mr. Miles.

Laney was completely intrigued by her little lollipops ornament from Aunt Hailey. Pretty cute!

We had a very late night (3:00 am) combined with a very early morning. Throw some middle of the night feedings into that and this is the result for Todd right in the middle of our gift opening with Lez and Hailey. At least Miles was keeping him company!Sitting with Aunt Hailey.

Laney checking out her gigantic coloring book with a whole huge page of Dora stickers!

Grommy got Laney the cutest ladybug umbrella that matches her raincoat from last year. Laney threw caution to the wind, opened it indoors and loved every minute of it!

Sam enjoyed some of the festivities from his carseat under the Christmas tree.

This gift made me cry! Lezlie got Todd a football so that he could play catch with the boys someday soon. She said that he got a football for his first Christmas when he was the same age as Miles and Sam. I can't imagine them being big enough for football!!! Laney enjoyed her turn with this gift and I am sure she will break it in just fine for her brothers.

All those new toys to entertain her and Laney chose some stickers from Grommy's playroom!

Laney camped out in one of the best seats in the house....right in front of all the yummy treats!

The boys barely remember what it is like to sleep anywhere but someone's cuddly arms. Sam was comfy cozy in Aunt Hailey's arms.

Christmas morning!!!

Laney was really shy about coming into the living room to see what Santa had left her. I don't know if it was because she was worried that Santa was still there. She is really unsure about that guy.
The boys started off our Christmas morning in their bassinet, but after not too long, they got hungry. I do like that you can see little Sam's head there in the crib! Despite her hesitation, she was still very excited as evidenced by her smiling eyes peeking over my shoulder!

Laney asked for this pink bus lots of times after seeing it while we were shopping for her brothers at Babies R Us. She has tried sleeping with it every night that we have been home since Christmas. Beads and bracelets. Santa you know us well!
A Dora Christmas book. Laney's other Dora books are very very loved, so I am sure that this one is not going to look so pristine for very long.
Making sure that every last goodie was accounted for!

Laney loves to empty things that dispense.....kleenex boxes, wipes containers, boxes of ziplocs or trash bags, floss...nothing is safe. Santa brought her her very own box of pink tissues to pull out as she pleased!! Heaven!
This is a book that we have checked out lots of times from the library. It is a Little People Policeman book. Laney calls it Ticket Town and always wants to read it even when we don't have it checked out. She threatens us with tickets in the car all the time. She always says, "Buckle me UP! Not want a ticket!" One time when Todd got back from being out of town, she concocted a whole imaginary story about me getting a ticket. Laney loves shoes, and these fancy dress up shoes put an immediate smile on her face. She has worn them tons since Christmas!
Santa is going to bring Laney a Christmas book telling the true Christmas story each year. We have read last year's book a million times since then so I am sure that this year's book will get lots of traffic too!
Laney tested her new high chair out on Baby Mama and it was a hit!
These ornaments were the boys only gifts from us this year. They didn't mind much, since they were well taken care of by all the other Santas in our family. They also spent the entire morning doing what they do best......eating and then sleeping!
I have been so looking forward to starting some traditions with Laney this year that celebrate the birth of our Savior and help her to understand what Christmas truly means. She has been really interested in talking about Baby Jesus, Mary and Joseph, and all the parts of her Little People Nativity. I love hearing her say that Christmas is Jesus's Happy Day and I am praying for the Christmas that she celebrates with Him as her personal savior.

We made a Birthday cake for Jesus this year to celebrate on Christmas morning. Laney loved singing to Jesus and "helping" Him blow out his candles.

Todd read the Christmas story out of Matthew while we were eating cake.

Since my mom and little sister do their entire Christmas on Christmas Eve with us, their Christmas Day is usually pretty low key. I decided that they should come over and have
Birthday cake with us before we headed over to Lezlie's house. It was so fun to see them and celebrate a little more and it was awesome to have their help as we loaded all our stuff up for Grommy's house and for Nocona!!! Thanks mom and Cait!!!
Miles definitely loved his chance to cuddle up with Bobbis.
