"A-Glooo"

"A-Gloo" is my mom's secret baby talk word to make the boys smile. They are really starting to coo and talk so much. I love it. My mom was over this weekend and she was talking it up with the boys on Laney's bed. They obviously love her version of baby language and were responding with serious cuteness to all of her "a-glooing!"

Sweet Sam
Miles Man
I love these pictures because they completely capture my boys' personalities. Miles, with his mouth wide open and those big bright eyes, is so full of energy and ready to engage with everyone around him. Sam, with his sweet gentle little grin, is so laid back and chilled out most of the time.
Of course I am not boxing our boys into these roles. Sam has plenty of feistiness to him and Mr. Man is as sweet as he can be too. Just makes me laugh to see these pics representing my little twinados so accurately!

Flying Nun Impersonation!

Before bathtime the other night, Todd helped Miles to achieve this fabulous look. Laney used to love to have her shirt on her head like this. She would always say, in her little baby voice, "I want see!" and we would bring her to the mirror. It is fun to get to do our same silly games with the boys. Sam didn't get a chance to participate this evening, but he will soon!

"Special Breakfast!"

We got to spend a few hours with the Goodyear girls on Saturday morning, which is always a treat for Laney. We were at the store on Friday night and I let Laney pick out some donuts for them to have the next morning. I am not sure when or how this developed, but Laney calls donuts, cinnamon rolls, and other similar treats, "special breakfast." She was very excited to get to share this particular special breakfast with her favorite girls in the whole world!

Choo Choo

Laney wanted to hold her brothers yesterday and we used it as an opportunity to all get together (in age descending order) on my lap. Laney loved it and decided that we were a choo choo train.

Laney Leads by Example!

Yesterday, I was giving the boys some of their mandated/hated tummy time. They really don't have fun, so I always get down on the floor in front of them and act like a crazy person laughing and cheering for them. Laney wanted in on some of the action. She jumped down there, laid on her tummy and held her back legs up off the ground like they sometimes do saying, "Look at me, Mommy!!" She wanted some of that crazy cheering for herself!

Of course I got some pictures of my three tummy timers. The boys lasted a little longer with big sister there to keep them company!

Laney showing one of her favorite daily activities. Grocery cart (or stroller) pushing. If I ever can't find something, I go and check her strollers and usually it is in there. I am sure that she is just trying to help me keep a clean house!!!

Another picture of my boys holding hands. Melts my heart!!!
Laney throwing herself on the ground in giggles.

Do What You Got to Do!!!

A visit to the park! Usually if we go to the park, my sister or my mom comes with us and we each wear a Bjorn. This particular trip, Jessica wore Sam the whole time, but this was as soon as we got there. As usual Laney took a while to warm up to the situation, so she wanted me to hold her too. So here we ALL are, looking a smidge ridiculous!!!

Ella's Awesome Birthday Party!

We got to go to Ella's rescheduled birthday party on Saturday and it was SO much fun. It was at The Compass Church in Colleyville. They have this huge climbing/slides area in their children's building. Our whole family got to go together which is my favorite way to do things. The boys were in great moods and so smiley! Laney takes a little while to warm in most situations and this was no exception. She stayed right by my side for about ten minutes before she decided it was safe to go and indulge in all the fun!

Once she got started there was no stopping her! She absolutely loved all the climbing. She got to have lots of fun with the birthday girl!

Up they go!
Laney wasn't tall enough to navigate the big steps, but she learned to improvise by stepping on the net with her monkey toes and pulling herself up!

Before she figured out what a little monkey she was, Todd went up to help her make it up. She loved having him up there, but it didn't take her long to get the confidence to do it on her own.She kept looking down at us and shouting, "Hi Daddy!! Hi Daddy!!" Never once did she try to get my attention?!?!?!

She went down this giant slide again and again loving it a little bit more each time.

She went down on her tummy backwards and forwards. She was very creative!!When she came down off the slide, she would race over to Todd and grab his legs for a big hug, then she would reach up to kiss Sam's feet! Again, I did not get this enthusiasm.....what is going on here???? (I really love how much she is loving her daddy lately.. I can share the love, i guess)

Big sister playing peek a boo with Miles. She was popping out from behind a foam wheel thing and he was smiling really big at her. The last time she popped out, she shouted and really scared him, but he recovered quickly!

Todd and Sam played a little game of airplane!

Front Yard Fun

We were playing outside in our front yard yesterday and Laney started running around in crazy circles laughing.

Then she found a magic stick and she started putting everyone to sleep with it. This is a game derived from Dora's Fairytale Adventure. We have this book, the DVD, and it is saved on our Tivo so as to provide maximum exposure! The witch puts Boots to sleep and Dora has to save him, so I guess Laney is choosing to be the witch in this game!
Laney then began gardening with some of the tools that Todd had out to work on our sprinkler system. What better choice for digging up some weeds than a screwdriver and a couple of wrenches???

Miles the Mohawk Man!

As previously noted, Miles is developing some curl to his hair. His curls present themselves differently every day (well, after every bath.) Sometimes it is in two little curly horns, sometimes it is lots of crazy afro-y curls, and sometimes it is in this silly little mohawk.

We love this boy and his big blue eyes!

Laney's Park!

We live really close to the elementary school in our neighborhood. We started walking there to play right after the boys were born. We had to take a few months break due to cold and yucky weather, but Laney never forsook our little park. Every time we drive by it she says, "Hi park!" or "There's my park!" She really does think that it is hers and is so confused whenever it is teeming with big kids during recess.
Last weekend, our whole family got to walk to Laney's park. Todd and I both wore the bjorns and pushed Laney in the stroller. Even Zilla got to join us on our family walk!
Laney carried an obligatory purse with her in her stroller and then the entire time she played at the park. Daddy and Sam were the official swing pushers!

Laney loves holding Zilla's leash. At this point she was just running around in crazy circles laughing hysterically.

And here is my silly goose back at home with yet another accessory.
