Memorial Day!!!

We got to spend Memorial Day with some very fun friends just hanging out in their backyard, eating yummy foods and playing with all our kids.
They had their kiddie pool set up, so Miles and Sam got to debut their little bathing suits. Pretty cute!! Miles getting shirtless!
Not in Kansas anymore........(cause now it's in color..... you know, Wizard of Oz)

Miles did NOT love the water experience. Laney was nearby bouncing in the bounce house, but as soon as she saw her baby brother in distress, she raced to his rescue. She is such a cartetaker.
She tried to play with this blow up cruise ship with him.
And when that didn't work, she resorted to her old standby, endless kisses.
Once Miles was out of the pool and flirting with cutie pie Haven, he was in much better spirits. They are kindred spirits with those curls!!
Laney, Haven, and Emma spent some girl time on the swing together.

Sam came out of the house after a little nap, but he wasn't quite ready to face the sun.
This is some of that hysterical determination that I have mentioned before about our Buggy Bug. She was convinced that she could get this riding toy up the slide. She had fun trying.
Sam swinging with his bestie........his thumb.
Laney sneaking behind him with her besties......something to push, a purse and some babydolls.
Miles was learning some cool moves from Jill.
She was so impressed by him.
Laney had so so much fun with Tyce. They played really really well together, which I love to see. Laney is a very independent player much of the time, and it makes me so happy to get to see her having a blast with her friends. They were swinging and bouncing, and playing chase. Later in the evening, Tyce came up to Todd and said, "Those piggy tails in that red dress....they're staying with me tonight!"
Laney's opinion about that proposal are made apparent in the pictures below.

Pure Bliss.....Literally!!!

If you live in the same great city as me, and you have not yet been to the frozen yogurt place, Pure Bliss, then stop reading this post immediately and get there as fast as you can! It is seriously amazing! It is like a self serve Marble Slab with a whole wall of frozen yogurts to choose from and a huge bar of toppings that you serve yourself. Then you pay by the ounce at the end.
We went there this weekend and Laney was in pure bliss!!! Here is a little peek at her chocolate yogurt with sprinkles, chocolate covered raisins, peanut m&ms, and cherries (which Laney calls blueberries??)
These shifty eyes were probably there to ensure that Daddy didn't try to swipe any of her yogurt!!!
Sam didn't get any yogurt, but he was all smiles anyway!

Miles wasn't so smiley, but it was probably cause he had to pick up the check!

The little shop is so cutely decorated, I couldn't stop taking pictures. We were getting some funny looks..

Strolling in Style!

My mom got this stroller for the boys way back when they were little bumps in my belly!! It finally got put together this weekend (go Todd!) I am so excited about it! They loved it! They really don't love their other stroller even though it is the most convenient thing ever. Snap and Go, Yo! We have taken three walks since the assembly of this cute brown and blue number, which is about the same number of walks we have gone on in their other one. I am looking forward to lots more.

Laney giving the BOB some love. Logged a bunch of miles in this guy. I don't know that any other stroller will rival it in mileage.

Playing with Kamryn!!

I promise that I am not going to post a zillion pictures all summer long of Laney in her bounce house. These are some pretty cute ones from our fun morning with Kamryn and I couldn't help myself. Laney was trying to climb up the slide with her plastic princess shoes on. Impossible, but hysterical!!

Then the girls moved on to cleaning Laney's car with a solution made of rain water and bubbles. Awesome!
This is Laney's new favorite thing to do. She learned it from Ella when they got to jump together last week. She sits in the middle of the bounce house while it is blowing up. She says, "Mommy, Find me!!!" the whole time.

Jennifer is always willing to hold a twin or two during our playdates together. Even now, when she is 37 weeks pregnant with the boys future friend, Crew!!! I tried to take this picture to document that we now have an official thumb sucker on our hands. Sam, who has always been a big lover of his hands, is now concentrating that love solely on his thumb!!!
Kamryn loves running water just like Laney does, which came as no surprise because they are so like minded! The sink was a hit.

Double the Highchairs......

Double the fun!!!
Jess gave us Tessie's space saver high chair so that the boys would have matching ones! But, I can't find the cover for ours, so poor
Sam didn't get to have any cushion for his little booty. He didn't seem to mind! This was right before some attempts at breakfast this morning. The twins are still not huge fans of food, but I am thinking that they will come around.

This was last night during a dinner of sweet potatoes. Yikes!
