Watermelon Smiles!

Of course we love to eat watermelon in the summer.  Usually we use our melon baller to scoop the whole thing out, but the kids love to get slices like these and make them into silly smiles!

Swimming with the Daisies!

On the day after school got out, we got togethers with lots of Girl Scouts for a pool party.  Our little daisies had a great time together!

Father's Day!!

Todd has to take off pretty early on Sundays, so we had to quickly throw our gifts at him on Father's Day before he left!  The kids were so excited to give him their handmade cards and gifts!

Sam painted a guitar for Todd.

 My loves with their amazing dad!

 We bought cherries for Todd because he loves them.  Laney was so excited about them being a surprise.  Sam said something about them to Todd and Laney got so upset she started to cry.  Todd convinced her that he hadn't heard anything and she was okay!

 Maple Bacon Cupcakes!!!!  They seemed like a very boyish choice for our Father's Day dessert!  Unfortunately these were not very delisicous!  Todd said that they were great as long as you thought of them as a breakfast option and not a dessert.  I was underwhelmed by them!

 We went to Jenna's apartment after church for lunch with Pops and Nae Nae!  We grilled burgers by their pool and swam for the afternoon.  It was perfect!

 Celebrating our Pops on Father's Day!  He is really great and so crazy about his grandkids!

 Laney loves Jenna's pool because it has a 3 ft section where she can practice swimming with total confidence that she can put her feet down if needed.  She is a total swimmer now, which is so awesome!

 We went back to their apartment for dessert and somre Rangers watching.

 These kids were pooped.  They all fell asleep at a little after 5.  We moved them to the car at 6 and they stayed asleep.  We moved them in our house from the car and the stayed asleep.....they all slept all the way until the next morning!  That's sleepy!!!

Macaroni Messages!

Our sweet swimming lessons teacher mentioned making macaroni letters every morning with her kids when they were little.  We decided to give it a shot, and she was right, it was super fun!

Sam spelled his name!

 Laney spelled "Special" one of the tricky words in one of her books that week.

Miles did his name too, but I didn't get a picture, I guess!  If you ask Miles to spell his name, he will say,

S A M I L E S!

I know that I should correct him, but I just love that he thinks that he can't even spell his own name without including his brothers!

Breakfast for Lunch with the Good Cousins!

We met up with the Goods at Creative Hands to paint some ceramics for the dads for Father's Day.  When we got there, we discovered that it was closed for the morning for a field trip.  We made impromptu plans for lunch at a breakfast diner that we used to frequent.  It was fun and a little crazy with our six cuties in a booth together.  Some children (who just happen to live at my house) were a little louder than others.  Laney is way in love with her cousin G!!!

 At first Laney was really upset about going to this breakfast restaurant.  She actually got in lots of trouble for her behavior in the car about it. But then we got inside and she suddenly wanted everything on the menu!  She settled on waffles with whipped cream and strawberries!

 These two cutie cutes got matching plates of pancakes!

After our lunch, we went back to Creative Hands to make a lovely ceramic motorcycle, guitar and fancy fancy heart for Todd!  Jess took some cute pics of that experience and texted them to me, so I need to add them!!
